A 16-year-old male patient with chest pain and shortness of breath with a needlestick and sharp injury on the neck came to the emergency. A computerized tomography of the patient showed an increasing subcutaneous emphysema on the neck and face and a large defect due to a sharp injury to the trachea and a large amount of air in the mediastinum was observed. Due to the increasing patient’s complaints the related specialists made counseling and deciding on how to make the intervention. Because of the difficulty of tracheal surgery audio and video consultation was made with Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Çetinkaya and Assoc. Prof. Hasan Akın. It was decided that the patient should be operated immediately. The operation was successful and the patient was admitted in intensive care unit for 1 day. Afterwards the patient was taken to inpatient service and was discharged today without any complications.
