Our patient who went back to England sent a message of thanks to our hospital.

           A patient named Abdirahman Nur with gun shot wound was brought into our emergency department on November 4, 2018, due to excessive  blood loss  and trauma the patient was taken to emergency operation. The patient had a lower abdominal wound and was operated by a team led by general surgery specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal ARSLAN  and a cardiovascular surgery resident Dr. Abdinafic Mohamud HUSSEIN. The patient's fragmented right groin main artery  was repaired with an artifical vein, in Somalia, an operation only performed in our hospital. While the patient was on his way to our hospital  serious blood loss  occured, therefore liver and kidney failure developed, as the result of the treatment performed at our intensive care unit by anesthesia, internal medicine and infection department, liver and kidney failure were successfully treated.

       After this process, the patient  wanted to spend his recovery and rehabilitation in England, where he stayed permanently, and was discharged when we found it medically  appropriate. The patient sent us a video and shared with us his happiness of the success of his treatment and his new first steps, and  the patient thanked  Turkey for providing such a capable hospital to Somali people and Turkish people and all hospital personnel.
