Dermatology Clinic Workflow and Service Provision
Two dermatology specialists are currently working in our Dermatology Clinic. Our resident physician is in Türkiye for a 6-month rotation. The Dermatology Clinic serves as the hospital’s primary referral center for skin health and dermatologic diseases, providing outpatient services, emergency consultations, procedural interventions, and inpatient/ICU visits. All processes are carried out regularly and uninterruptedly by experienced specialist physicians.
1. Outpatient Clinic Services
The dermatology outpatient clinics operate actively throughout the day, providing:
Evaluation of acute and chronic dermatologic diseases
Management of allergic reactions and dermatologic infections
Follow-up of common conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, and rosacea
Examination of skin, hair, and nail disorders
Dermatoscopic evaluation
Follow-up and control visits
Medical treatment planning and adjustments
2. Procedural Interventions
Dermatology specialists perform minor surgical and interventional procedures on a daily basis, including:
Punch or excisional biopsies
Excision of skin lesions
Electrocauterization
Abscess drainage
Treatment of verruca, molluscum, and similar lesions
3. Emergency Consultation Services
Our dermatology specialists provide emergency consultation services to all departments of the hospital, including:
Emergency Department
General Intensive Care Unit (GICU)
Emergency Intensive Care
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Inpatient wards
These evaluations are vital for managing acute rashes, severe allergic reactions, serious drug side effects, infectious skin diseases, and cutaneous manifestations of systemic illnesses.
4. Inpatient Ward and Intensive Care Visits
Our specialist physicians conduct daily rounds, during which they:
Evaluate the dermatologic conditions of hospitalized patients
Plan and adjust treatments
Perform necessary procedures (biopsies, wound care, etc.)
Coordinate treatment processes with other clinical departments
Establish follow-up plans for patients requiring continued monitoring
