Hospital Pharmacy

The Hospital Pharmacy is the unit responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, effective, and timely procurement, storage, and distribution of all medications used within the institution and dispensed to outpatients with preions. As a fundamental component of patient safety, medication management, and treatment quality, the Pharmacy Unit is managed by specialist pharmacists and experienced technical staff.

1. Medication Procurement and Management

  • Procurement of all medications used in the hospital

  • Selection of licensed, reliable, and standards-compliant products

  • Contribution to supplier evaluation and purchasing processes

  • Management of emergency medication stock

2. Medication Storage and Warehouse Management

  • Controlled storage areas with temperature and humidity monitoring systems

  • Proper storage of medications requiring cold chain conditions

  • Regular monitoring of expiration dates and stock levels

  • Full compliance with warehouse safety standards

3. Distribution to Clinical Units

  • Supply of medications to outpatient clinics, wards, intensive care units, and operating rooms

  • Fast and secure distribution system

  • Verification and documentation of medication requests

4. Sterile Product Preparation

  • Parenteral solutions

  • Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions

  • Preparation performed in closed systems within sterile areas

5. Rational Drug Use (RDU)
