Medical Pathology
About the Clinic
The Pathology Clinic is the most comprehensive diagnostic pathology center in the region and serves as a reference laboratory for tertiary-level healthcare institutions as well as surrounding provinces and locations. Our clinic is staffed by two specialist pathologists and one resident physician, supported by a team of three laboratory technicians and one secretary to ensure continuity of services. It is the only center in Somalia providing structured residency training in pathology and makes a significant contribution to the country’s oncologic diagnostics and modern laboratory capacity.
The clinic actively operates a histopathology laboratory, a cytopathology unit, and an archive unit. Rapid reporting services for emergency specimens and critical oncologic diagnoses are sustainably provided six days a week.
